#MarSocial's Author of the Year Competition!

As my readers probably already know, I am now a finalist in the MarSocial's Author of the Year Competition. I wanted to take a moment and explain what the competition is about.

If you are following my feeds on Twitter, you have probably seen me tweet about other authors.  Some of you have even retweeted my posts, and thanks so much for that.  This is truly an altruistic competition, and the first of its kind.  Here is a description:

MARSocial Author of the Year Competition  is the greatest social media event to take over Twitter. From the millions of authors on Twitter, around 50 authors have made it through to the finalist stages of what’s being called the X-Factor of author competitions. Also this is the biggest author/book/film competition every launched on the world-wide-web which has been running over the past two months and has already had over 100,000 different author’s book excerpt tweets sent out during its duration, with one single book excerpt tweet being retweeted over 11,000 times, substantiating the fact that news of the competition has literally gone out to billions around the world.

It’s a huge International competition with authors from the USA, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, France and numerous other countries, and, there’s even one seventy eight year old female author from Wales who’s accumulated over three and a half thousand book excerpt tweets who’s made it through as a finalist, too. MARSocial in conjunction with Keeran Vaanie Creations International Film Producers, is a competition that is run by authors for the benefit of all authors who enter. Excerpts of the participants book are tweeted and retweeted throughout the competition. The entry for Upon Your Return, my historical romance filled with adventure, intrigue and love can be found here: http://marsocial.com/docs/marsocials-author-of-the-year-competition-upon-your-return-marielavender1/
Currently, in the final stages of the competition, authors chapter excerpts are being tweeted to millions of followers around the world in hopes to claim the coveted Ephraim prize on February 1st. The winner will be announced and they could have the chance to have their work turn into a film adaptation by Keeran Vaani Creations, currently Keeran Vaani Creations has also launched a campaign to produce their featured film disturbed, more information on the featured film can be found at http://www.disturbedmovie.com/#!castcrew/c22cz
According to founder of the competition, Joseph Ephraim or “Cap’n Joe” as he is known to us online, “Our aim is to give all our Marzian authors who enter this competition as much maximum exposure via the large social media networking sites as we possibly can.”

Now that you know what it's all about, I hope you'll tweet and share my excerpt as well as other authors in the competition to give us a chance to win this lovely contest!  Thanks again, readers!  :)
