When nine-year-old Rosie discovers she’s a witch, she learns that along with supernatural powers comes accountability. In the first novella, Magick & Moonlight, her mama, Jessie, learns the same lesson. Although geared toward young children, adults will also enjoy this sweet story. I recommend reading Magick & Moonlight for yourself and then reading A Little Magick with your little girl!

"Magick & Moonlight" by Marie Lavender is a great short story about a Wiccan named Jessie who gets caught in the forest skyclad (naked)by the sexy ex- cop, Ethan, while performing a ritual. He immediately thinks there is something alluring but dangerous about what she's doing so he insists that she put out the fire and takes her home. To hide her secret she puts a spell on him, but will it ruin what could be between them? Only time will tell.
I enjoyed this sweet,magical, romantic read. It's my first from this author but plan on reading more.

"A Little Magick" by Marie Lavender is about Rosie and her trip to Uncle Adam's house over the summer. What starts off as a playdate with a new friend, Tina, soon turns into Rosie getting bullied by a neighbor kid. As she thinks about how mean he is things start to happen and not all for the good. Will she be able to get it under control before someone gets hurt, or is it too late for that?
I really enjoyed reading this book from little Rosie's perspective; although I was not quite sure how young she was in this story I know she was pretty young. I liked the splash of romance between Uncle Adam and Selena, and also the moral lesson with bullying.

I loved it! What is a sweet little girl to do when she learns she is a witch? That she can make things happen? Nine year old Rosie goes to stay with her Uncle Adam while her father is training for a new job and her mother is at a festival employing her craft. There are lots of surprises in store for both Rosie and her uncle. Very nice story with strong characters. I love Marie Lavender's work.

I had read the prequel to this book, "Magick and Moonlight", and I really loved it. Seeing things from a child's perspective this time was certainly different. The author pulled it off very credibly, I really felt as if I were in little Rosanna's head. It was fascinating to see how she dealt with discovering her magick, and there was just the right amount of adult world and children's world in the story. I really want to read about a grown-up Rosanna now.

BIG NEWS!!!

Well, if you couldn't tell from the crazy exclamation marks, I do have some big news! LOL. I just can't wait to tell everyone. 

The first thing I want to do is give a big thank you to everyone who has been checking out the new guest author/book spotlights and interviews! Thank you for coming over and learning out the books, and what projects the writers might have lined up. Some authors who have visited are as follows:  Bernard Foong, Adrienne Davenport, Celia Kennedy, Rachael Stapleton, Diana Rubino, Rival Gates, Daryl Devore, S.A Starcevic, Michael Aronovitz, Linda Lee Williams and Mika Jolie. I have met so many talented authors on my writing and publishing journey.

Secondly, I wanted to inform you that A Little Magick, book two of the Magick Series, is very close to release! The pre-order pages are up, and yes, folks, we have a release date! Yay! So, it's going to be July 20th. I will probably schedule the Facebook release party for that day as well,but you'll have more updates in next month's newsletter or sometime on here. So, keep following along.

In case you're not familiar with this project yet, A Little Magick is the the second part of the Magick Series, my lighthearted take on the fantasy genre. ALM is also a children's book. I aim for this to be a book that both kids and adults can read so don't run away just yet! LOL. ALM is the sequel to Magick & Moonlight, if you're familiar with that book.

What other news can I give you? Oh, yes. I have been heavily editing Upon Your Love, which will be the third and final book of the Heiresses in Love Series, the conclusion of the Hill saga. Book one and two are out now.

I have also been editing a story called Second Chance Heart, a contemporary romance which will be part of a multi-author anthology coming out in October.
