Perfect Game - Excerpt by Erica Sutherhome
October 1, 2013
"You are Miss Stewart, I presume?"
Surprised, she halted in mid-step. She nodded. "Yes...hello." Wary
of this man who was striking in every possible way, she slowly
approached him. Her heart began to race when he straightened his
posture. He was built tall and slender, yet his well-toned muscles
conveyed it was no hardship for him to be in top shape. He had green
eyes, bright and nearly yellow, like a jungle cat.
She had a
feeling no detail about her appearance was dismissed as he studied her
with those intimidating eyes. She shivered, but did not look away.
This man was an expert guide and hunter. It went without saying that he
was in his own element, comfortable enough to observe her in this
fashion. Perhaps it was just what people did in this part of the world.
Haley cleared her throat. "You must be Mr. West."
