Sharon:  Second Chance Cinderella

Raven St. James is a Phlebotomist in a prominent Portland, Oregon hospital. She is petite, with jet-back hair, green eyes, and extremely shy. She dreams of being like the nurses on the daytime hospital shows—perfect. Tall, blond, blue eyed, with big breasts.
Dr. Quinn Taylor admires Raven’s skill, and the caring she shows with her patients, but can’t get her attention. Until the day she winks at him.
Raven only has 24 hours in her Cinderella body. What will she do with it? Will she become the confident, strong, flirty girl she wants to be? Will she get the guy she’s always wanted?

When did the book come out? Two weeks ago.

Jennifer:  Cinderella Had it Easy is story one from the a new romance series of the timeless Cinderella story re-imagined where four girlfriends make a wish on a locket. They all wish they were beautiful, and look like the girls they've always wanted to be. The belle of the ball.

Cami works in the basement of a television station which airs history documentaries. With scars on her face that she acquired in a car accident as a child, Cami finds it easier to be by herself. She gets into a heated debate with the handsome new host of the show she’ll be working on. Is Lance the knight in shining armor who can drag Cami out of her safe zone? With no carriage and no helpful mice, she has to rely on the magic from her grandmother’s locket.

Cami only has 24 hours in her Cinderella body, what will she do with it? Will she keep hiding or can she learn how to live life?

When did the books come out? Four weeks ago.

Where can you get them?
Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.

Angela: My modern day Cinderella story is called Spellbound Cinderella. It shows the importance of raising self-esteem and boosting confidence for inner beauty. Four friends wish on a magical pendant to be that perfect girl. They wake in their 'Cinderella Bodies' and have only to midnight to make the most of it. The boost of confidence helps them realize their own inner beauty.

When did the books come out?  Books to Go Now has recently released all 4 books in 2015 in this series; as well as the boxed set.

Where can you get them?

Amazon : Spellbound Cinderella - http://amzn.com/B00WQ90EFY

Cinderella Body Club Boxed Series – Amazon - http://amzn.com/B00WQ90EFY

They will also be available at Barnes & Noble and Smashwords.

Amber:  This series is about four best friends with self-esteem issues and learning how to overcome them. Most women can relate to feelings of inadequacy in beauty, jobs, their families and their love lives. The ladies of the Cinderella Body Club take it a bit overboard when they wish to look beautiful on a magic pendant. The trick is, the spell only lasts for one day. So they better make their wish count!
When did the books come out?  Books to Go Now has published all four books early in the 2015 year with Cinderella’s Enchanted Night concluding the series.

Where can you get them? The best place to buy these awesome books in ebook edition is on Amazon. Print editions will be available soon on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Wow. This sounds great! I'm so excited about your new release!
So, tell us...is there anything that prompted these stories? Something that inspired you?
Sharon:  Jennifer Conner came up with the idea and then we ran with it. It was a really fun idea.

Jennifer:  Who doesn't like Cinderella? But I wanted to put a twist on it with where the girls 'think' they have changed. But... maybe not.

Angela:  I love the classic Cinderella story! The chance to write a modern day Cinderella romance about a girl who believed to be a ‘Plain-Jane’ with no shot at getting her hero’s attention inspired me to help show that we need to believe in ourselves. And with a boost of self-confidence we can let others see the real us.

Amber:  I love stories for the underdogs. And these Cinderella wanna-bes know what it’s like to be at the bottom rung of the dating social ladder with their Princes high up top.

That's great!
So, when did you know you wanted to write?  Or has it always been a pastime of yours?

Sharon:  I started writing in 2010. It had never crossed my mind before that. Now I have 30 books including a couple cookbooks.

Jennifer:  It's always been a pastime. I wrote fan fiction as a teen. About 10 years ago when I became serious about writing, I wanted to find something I was passionate about that didn't cost anything but time. I had stories in my brain that needed to go on paper (or screens in the modern world I guess :))

Angela:  I have always wanted to write…to create a story to share. I love to escape into a great read and I hope I can take my readers there.
Amber:  I’ve known since I was twelve that I’ve wanted to write. All it took was smuggling a Harlequin romance book out of my mom’s bedroom and my future was set.

LOL. I know exactly what you mean, ladies.

Do you have any favorite authors?
Sharon:  Janet Evanovich. I love Stephanie Plum. Janet makes me laugh and I can’t put her books down. I’d love for someone to say that about my books someday.

Jennifer:  Diana Gabaldon is my writing goddess. I'm a HUGE fan geek and her books have been an obsession for the last 20 years. I am over the moon happy with the amazing miniseries on TV now.

Angela:  I have so many! To name a few…Danielle Steele, Jane Austin, Stephen King and my newest fav…Sharon Kleve.

Amber:  I certainly do! A few of my favorites are Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Sabrina Laurens and Maggie Shayne.
I'm obsessed with Outlander as well, Jennifer.
Do any of you write in a specific place? Time of day?
Sharon:  I have a full-time job so I fit it in at every spare moment I have because it’s important to me.

Jennifer:  Unfortunately, it's when I can fit in time. With also being a book publisher, I have very little time to write. But, you have find time.

Angela:  I’ve written everywhere! Every room in my house…on the deck…in the backyard…on the beach…in the doctor’s waiting room and probably a few place in between. I have written at all times of the day but my favorite time is at night when it is quiet and peaceful and my family is asleep.

Amber:  I write at all hours of the day and night, and I usually stay locked up in my office. I need a change of environment every few months so I move to the living room or bedroom for a few weeks before I move back to the office for a few more months. It’s an endless cycle.

All right.
Are there any words you'd like to impart to fellow writers? Any advice?

Sharon:   Sit down and write…

Jennifer:   Don't just be a writer, anyone can write; be an author. A good one. Join a critique group, take feedback and criticism. Believe me, if you don't get it before, you will get it from the readers and reviewers who have keyboard courage.

Writing is the best. Enjoy your journey and write what you love.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?

I think taking advantage of ALL the free social media sites is a MUST. Besides Facebook and Twitter, make sure your Amazon Author page is up to date. I have had good luck with the Goodreads giveaways. Blog hops. FB parties. Fan pages. Readers love stuff. Just giving away a free ebook is not going to cut it anymore. Make sure your giveaways are affordable (to you) and be careful of overseas shipping to readers. I've known authors who have spent $30 to ship a paperback to Europe.

Quote:  I write to give myself strength. I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things that I am afraid of. - Joss Whedon
Angela:  Never quit! Write! Write! Write!
Amber:  Writing is the easy part and it’s only half of the work. Handling rejections and bad reviews with finesse is a must, taking care of marketing and publicity demands is a handful but a requirement, and writing your next book while dealing with everything else is cause to bring out the vodka. But ‘tis the life of an author. You gotta love it, and I do with all my heart.

This all excellent advice! I want to thank you for stopping by!  This was my first time hosting a group interview, and it was a blast! :)

Readers, here are the blurbs for The Cinderella Body Club Series.

About Amber Daulton

Writing is the fruit to happiness.
Amber Daulton lives her life by that one belief even though she normally isn't so Zen.
Author of five novellas—Forever Winter, A Hero's HeartLightning over Bennett Ranch, Mistletoe in the City and Cinderella’s Enchanted Night—she published her first book in 2012 and hopes to publish countless more in the future.
She lives in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina with her punk-rocker husband and their five crazy kitties. Writing takes up most of her time, aside from her day job in the retail industry. As a fan of contemporary, paranormal and historical novels alike, she can't get enough of feisty heroines and alpha heroes. Her mind is a wonderland of romance and adventure, laughter and awesome ways of kicking a guy when he's down. She probably wouldn't be too sane without her computer and notebooks. After all, what's a girl to do when there are people jabbering away in her head and it's hard to shut them up? Write! Nothing else works.
